The Opportunity:

UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Downtown Student Services department is now accepting applications for a Student Programs Coordinator II/Pre-Collegiate Coordinator. This position works out of our UCF Downtown location and is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and recruitment of programs & services within UCF Downtown Student Services as well as the Ginsburg Center for Inclusion and Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruits students into pre-collegiate programs to enhance early college engagement efforts for local students and their families.
  • Conducts on and off-site classroom presentations, information sessions, and workshops while representing the university and motivating students to pursue and complete a college education.
  • Designs, coordinates, and implements pre-collegiate programming such as campus tours, community volunteerism, student success workshops, and campus engagement to satisfy yearly program requirements.
  • Provides personalized one-on-one coaching and case-management while supporting students through their UCF pre-enrollment steps (application, FAFSA, residency, etc.)
  • Monitors timely completion of pre-enrollment goals while providing high-quality customer service.
  • Collaborates with other entities within the Ginsburg Center for Inclusion and Community Engagement to create a sense of connection and the likelihood of student enrollment.
  • Troubleshoots and responds to student and/or parent phone calls, emails, or texts in a timely manner.
  • Assists with other community or university driven efforts as it relates to recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of targeted markets identified as potential prospects for the university.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education enrollment services setting and/or secondary education experience.
  • Experience with event coordination and implementation.
  • Experience with advising and/or coaching.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with individuals from varied backgrounds and experiences.
