Objective: Overall responsibility for the operation of the process plant under control.
To participate in the performance monitoring / improvement of the process plant by associating with CTS function.
Responsible for the safety, productivity, improvement, and upkeep / reduced downtime of the assigned process plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overall in charge of process plant, responsible for achieving production target set by the management.
- Monitor the activities carried out during all shifts.
- Evaluation of plant performance parameters generated during the shift and generate production reports.
- Responsible for short shut down & preventive annual maintenance shutdown, timely completion of shut down & subsequent restart and stabilization.
- Manpower and resource planning.
- Maintenance of QMS/ EMS /HAZOP /5S and other certification / audits implemented by management.
- Participate in the department / unit review meetings.
- Upkeep of the process plant.
- Training & training co- ordination.
- Interact / guide shift team during lean working hours and holidays.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
Qualification & Experience:
B.E. Chemical Engineer with 12 to 15 years of experience in the area in similar capacity.
Skill & Competencies:
- Decision-making, Judgment.
- Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
- Planning, Creativity.
- Overcoming challenging situations of process plant and time management.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of Process performance parameters (Yield, Conversion, Specific consumption, DCS, Interlocks, Alarm Management system.
- HAZOP/PHA/MSDS/5S/ISO/QMS/EMS/Safety & First Aid.
- Manpower utilization and management.
