Summary of Position 

The Marketing Specialist, Online and Continuing Education is responsible for marketing materials that support degrees and certificates offered online at the University of New Hampshire. Under the supervision of the Senior Integrated Marketing Director, Graduate School, Online and Manchester, the Marketing Specialist, Online and Continuing Education partners with integrated marketers and recruitment teams to:

  • Implement, optimize, and monitor communication and marketing plans supporting student enrollment and UNH Online brand awareness ·
  • Ensure the UNH Online brand enhances the unit’s reputation and is clearly represented or understood by all audiences
  • Manage website and social media channels
  • Support overall UNH Online marketing strategy

  • Aware of market and industry trends
  • Experienced with implementing multi-channel marketing plans

This individual must be a responsive and amiable collaborator with the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Experience creating and implementing marketing plans
  • Strong communication (written & verbal), including copy writing and editing
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Functional command of search engine marketing, search engine optimization techniques and Google Analytics
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce/TargetX, Drupal
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Professional experience in higher education, online education, or education technology
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and optimize websites in Drupal
  • Paid campaign management experience

  • Multi-channel marketing projects (advertising, content development, email campaigns and other channels as assigned)

  • Maintain website platform upgrades, maintenance requests, content creation, and image sourcing. Review SEO recommendations and implement changes as needed.
  • Evaluate and enhance website effectiveness with GA4.
  • Develop and optimize marketing landing pages.

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute organic social media on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other channels as may be assigned
  • Collaborate with Digital Media Coordinator, Graduate School to ensure paid marketing aligns with organic marketing content.

  • Utilize data to improve marketing efforts and lead generation techniques.
  • Develop reports to evaluate marketing campaign and website performance.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Coordinator, Graduate School to review and evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Research best practices across industry
