The Manager of Technical Sales Engineers (TSE) exists to provide the support, guidance and direction to the Global TSE team. The Manager should view themselves as a customer success manager whereas the TSEs reporting to them are their customers. The Manager’s success is the result of the success of each member, individually and collectively. This outlook is driven by three primary objectives to:

  1. Shorten the sales cycle through demonstrating Bluebeam’s solutions meet or exceed the prospect’s required capabilities, enabling a quick and decisive “yes.”
  2. Maximize sales opportunity through deep discovery uncovering opportunity for additional value to the customer.
  3. Shorten user time-to-value by proper expectation setting and resources.

This role ensures functional internal communication and alignment with departments including, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Customer Delight

What we would like to see in you:

  • 3 years of people management skills with an empathetic, coaching approach.
  • 5 years in a sales engineer role
  • Ability to build internal relationships to foster open communication and collaboration between teams.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience providing technical demonstrations at all levels.
  • Comfortable learning new technology.
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience using Bluebeam Solutions and AEC is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable advising on best practices related to business processes and technology, especially to high-level technical employees and customers
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (trade shows, sales calls, construction offices or construction sites)

What you’ll do:

  • Establish OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) based on overarching Sales and Company OKRs
  • Accommodate cultural and time differences of a global team
  • Establish and maintain weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports.
  • Research and share TSE best practices with team.
  • Partner with CSM Director and Sales Leadership on Sales strategy.
  • Lead all TSE hiring, onboarding and performance reviews.
  • Attend sales calls with each TSE to assess performance.
  • Consistently engage with Bluebeam’s Product team and cultivate an active feedback loop to communicate customer information and insights.
  • Provide feedback to senior leadership on market trends, competitive analysis, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers.
  • Work with Marketing, Enterprise and Channel Sales teams, and other key internal stakeholders to achieve sales goals

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Additionally, Bluebeam provides best in class benefits, with 100% employee covered health and welfare benefits and paid time off. Bluebeam is a growing company with many opportunities. The base pay range for this position is: $125,700- $157,100 plus eligible commissions
