Job Description:
Data Transformation Expert:
- Source, cleanse, and prepare data from disparate sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and suitability for analysis.
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to streamline data preparation for Power BI reporting.
Power BI Architect:
- Design and develop visually impactful and informative dashboards using Power BI, highlighting KPIs, critical trends, and actionable insights.
- Master DAX calculations to create custom metrics and perform complex data analysis within Power BI.
- Build robust and performant data models within Power BI to power dynamic and interactive reporting.
End-to-End Ownership:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed and accurate reporting requirements.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of BI solutions, from design and development to deployment, maintenance, and user support.
- Proactively update and enhance existing Power BI dashboards to ensure continuous value and adaptability to evolving business needs.
Analytical Thinker:
- Conduct insightful data analysis using Power BI capabilities to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Present findings clearly and concisely, translating complex insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Collaborative Partner:
- Partner with business teams to deeply understand their unique reporting needs, proactively suggest innovative reporting solutions, and offer guidance based on your Power BI expertise.
- Provide training and ongoing support to empower users to make the most of Power BI's capabilities for data exploration and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Power BI Mastery: 2+ years of experience in Power BI development, including dashboard design, DAX, data modeling, and visualization.
- Data Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and translate them into clear recommendations.
- Visual Communication: Talent for creating compelling, user-friendly data visualizations that effectively tell a story.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders, understand needs, and explain technical concepts.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Business, etc.).
- Certifications in Power BI or other BI tools.
