Quality Control Specialist

Overview:

The Quality Control Specialist – QC manages quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolved quality issues, and providing technical advisory services.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates systems and work processes
  • Analyzes data
  • Establishes control procedures
  • Use DSS OR WMS, and other Government Data Systems, as well as Quality control software
  • Validates processes that are performed IAW DLA Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Audits Readiness Internal Controls

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3+ Years of Quality Control experience
  • Experience with Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
  • Government contracting experience is preferred
  • Operating and working in warehouse setting is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Material Hazard and Bio-Hazard Communication (MSDS)
  • Knowledge of the Material Receiving / Handling sections of ISO 9000
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.
  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team
  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
