As a key member of the leadership team, this executive will play the role of “player/coach”, and partner effectively with members of the People Team and the rest of the executive team to enhance and develop integrated HR programs that are aligned with OfferUp’s DNA culture and operating environment. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

What we love about this role:

  • Operational Excellence. Further development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures and employee communications.
  • Compliance. Maintain awareness of changes to employee policies and practices to ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • A track record of success in a fast-paced (Driven), constantly evolving environment (Adaptable) - the ability to deal with and successfully lead during times of ambiguity.
  • Experience with hiring, attracting, and scaling an excellent HR team.

  • High energy style and a strong, “hands-on” work ethic with a passion for managing details within a dynamic business. Leadership in an effective, non-bureaucratic, and collaborative style. Have the professional credibility to command respect, influence others, and instill confidence across the organization. Encourages people in the organization to come for advice while always operating in the company's best interest. Must be approachable to anyone and at all levels of the organization.
