Position Description: 

Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction in a professional & courteous manner. 

Work Performed:

  1. Prepare any necessary setup to perform the job properly. (Complete side-work)
  2. Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare the table for resetting. Promptly, quietly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed.
  3. Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
  4. Serve guests with beverages, bread and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary. Service should be in a friendly and courteous manner.
  5. Transport all dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
  6. Keep the workstation clean.
  7. Perform general cleaning tasks using standard restaurant cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
  8. Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, or special guest requests, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  9. Remove the garbage bags/bin from restaurant and bar.
  10. Report your supervisor before ending your shift.
  11. All other projects as requested by management.
  12. Attend pre-shift meeting to review/communicate information regarding service, VIG’s, specials, etc.
  13. Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.

Physical and Technical Environment:

  1. Ability to stand and walk during 8 to10 hour shifts.
  2. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe to perform essential job functions.
  3. Ability to lift and carry large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Required Experience:

  1. Complete knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  2. Basic knowledge of all menus & wine list.
  3. Work efficiently as a team member
  4. Knowledge of restaurant layout
  5. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
  6. Observe all restaurant policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming.
  7. Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, communicate with guests to explain and record orders.

Minimum requirements:

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-workers, and management. Must also be able to perform all related duties as assigned.
