Sales Consultant – Integrator

The Integration Sales Consultant will develop and maintain relationships with indirect and direct integrator channel partners to increase market share for electronic security solutions to meet organizational goals. This role will develop supportive relationships with key business partners, leading to achievement of sales goals.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with target customers through a consultative selling approach and regular pattern of calls to achieve sales goals.
  • Consult and train integrator partners on product and solution applications that meet their needs, as well as the needs of their customers.
  • Partner with integrator on identifying new avenues for increased revenues and margin.
  • Execute strategic selling capabilities within integrator (Owner, Operations, Sales). This is inclusive of leading dialogue and training.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with Physical Access Control Software (PACs) regional sales manager and partner on identifying new avenues for increasing revenue and opportunities.
  • Partner with all internal customers (including sales, marketing, engineering, customer and technical services, and operations) to ensure complete customer satisfaction, commitment and loyalty to Allegion products and services leading to increased revenue.
  • Advise integrator customers on product mix, applications, and promotions that meet their needs. Suggest possible new products and adaptations for product and/or system applications.
  • Utilize professional level sales skills in discussing security and safety systems with security directors, IT management, integrators, wholesalers, etc.
  • Follow up on all job quotes with integrator partners to secure projects and ensure a favorable mix of Allegion products.
  • Communicate the value of technology and relate it to customer needs.
  • Exhibit an understanding of electromechanical products, applications, and solutions.
  • Understand complete access control package including operational descriptions and riser diagrams.
  • Support business partner initiatives to maximize sales results. Collaborate with business partners to create demand, develop/execute strategy, and successfully close orders. Participate in joint sales calls and training; attend local, regional and/or national trade shows and association meetings.
  • Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity. Adapt to change in marketplace.
  • Maintain and utilize CRM tool for sales reporting and to communicate sales activities.
  • Ensure proper customers and partners are adequately trained on new and existing products.
  • Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Strong understanding of electricity, electronic components and total solution systems is required. Ability to understand a complete access control package including operational descriptions and riser diagrams.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility integration.
  • Ability to effectively communicate total solution system integration concepts to various levels of end user knowledge base is required.
  • Experience providing consultation and direction on security and safety systems with security directors, IT management, integrators, wholesalers, etc. is required.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.
  • Customer –centric focus and ability to thrive in a team selling environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills is required. Ability to communicate the value of technology and relate it to the customer needs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% Western Canada territory. (Alberta and British Columbia)
  • Post-Secondary Education or 5 years equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years sales experience in the security solution industry preferred
