Hawaii Endoscopy Center, a Covenant Physician Partner, is looking for a full-time GI Tech / Endoscopy Tech to join amazing patient focused team.
About the Opportunity
Working Monday through Saturday, this individual will have a schedule between 6:30 am and 4:00 pm. The center is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
The GI Tech, reporting to the Center Manager, oversees the proper cleaning, high-level disinfection, and maintenance of video endoscopes and accessories in the GI Endoscopy suites. Responsibilities include adhering to CDC Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, assisting during procedures, and ensuring daily preventative maintenance and record-keeping for sterilized equipment. The role also involves contributing to the facility's mission by actively supporting its philosophy, goals, objectives, and values. This is a chance to take Medical Assistant or acute care sterile processing experience and transition into an outpatient setting.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
About the Candidate
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a GI Tech/Endo Tech, Medical Assistant, or sterile processing tech
- Current Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain it prior to starting work
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) or more years of experience as a GI/Endo Tech
- Experience processing equipment used in surgical procedures
- Experience setting up procedure rooms and trays
