Role: Creative Strategist

Overview:

As a Creative Strategist, you’ll be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for multiple clients. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to create top-performing ads, drive creative decision-making, and grow revenue for accounts spending upwards of $1M per month. 

This role is perfect for someone who is highly strategic, consumer-obsessed, and passionate about producing effective creative that sells. Applicants should have a drive to understand ‘What makes a winning ad?’ for clients across a breadth of industries. In one of the highest-leverage roles at TubeScience, the Creative Strategist will analyze data sets, debrief large teams on performance, produce briefs to be turned into ads, review consumer research, and provide direction and guidance across team functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own creative strategy for assigned clients and be responsible for their performance and revenue growth.
  • Be a leading voice able to tie together quantitative and creative insights into high-impact decision making leading to revenue growth.
  • Collaborate directly with Creative Producers and Editors to write scripts, produce videos, and give strategic and creative notes, evaluating copy and visuals from a consumer perspective.
  • Use research, data, and creative insights to build hypotheses to test and iterate. 
  • Analyze results of tests, forming hypotheses as to why creative concepts succeed or fail, and translate data directly into actionable creative insights.
  • Write strategic briefs outlining scientific, creative tests within ads to gain high-impact learnings.
  • Identify top performing concepts and work closely with Growth Managers to build strategic account plans. 
  • Identify top performing concepts and create variations and iterations playbooks to help Creative Producers and Editors understand how to scale out concepts that are working.
  • Critically analyze media testing and scaling structures within FB Ads Manager and other platforms to ensure optimal conditions for performance.

  • Consumer-centric mindset - Can recognize gaps in persuasiveness of messaging, and confusing or unclear messaging 
  • Can learn new skills and domains quickly and then apply successfully
  • Can apply behavioral concepts in practical situations
  • Can write quickly and concisely; can distill and explain complex concepts to others in writing
  • Can think on their feet -- able to formulate a solid response, even if they don’t have all the facts. 
  • Strong command of English language: grammar and syntax. 
  • Highly ambitious and/or entrepreneurial
  • Highly Adaptable 
  • High level of curiosity
  • Eager to learn new ideas, even when those go against their preconceived notions. 
  • Understanding of FB Ads Manager, and/or experience with other ad platforms including Snap, TikTok, Youtube. 
  • Paid social or Direct Response experience (work/writing samples preferred)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Strong Google Sheets and Excel Skills

Location: Los Angeles (Hybrid-in office part-time) 

Compensation:

TubeScience provides the wage ranges it reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for all remote roles and as otherwise required by applicable law. The expected range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 – $100,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary within the listed range based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, and specific geographic location.
