The People Partner provides Human Resources support in multiple areas of HR Administration (job postings, recruiting, pre-employment screening, associate orientation and relations, compliance, new hire and other HR documentation) for all assigned dealership locations. The position reports directly to the Region VP, Human Resources and provides support to all associates in assigned dealership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists hiring managers in the recruitment and selection of qualified candidates for open positions at assigned dealerships
  • Monitors all pre-employment testing and assessments for new hires and additional requirements for position changes
  • Completes all new hire documentation in compliance with company standards and government regulations and conducts new hire orientation
  • Coordinates completion of PAF documentation as necessary and based on approval requirements
  • Monitors the status of associates on leaves of absence, including workers compensation, and facilitate their return to work
  • Ensure the proactive identification and resolution of Associate relations issues
  • Ensures the timely, accurate distribution of Associate-related communications
  • Meets with department managers at all assigned dealerships regarding turnover and open positions
  • Ensures dealership level compliance with company HR processes, procedures and approval requirements
  • Answers HR policy questions in assigned dealerships
  • Follows up on performance improvement plans and works on any compliance issues
  • Investigates, reports and resolves associate complaints and issues
  • Serves as the liaison with other departments, dealerships, Region and/or Corporate in the resolution of HR-related issues
  • Conducts annual benefit enrollment and 401(k) meetings for assigned dealerships
  • Coordinates and monitors Associate training and may conduct training in selected areas
  • Serves as a resource for the implementation of all corporate/region sponsored HR initiatives
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment
  • Minimum 2 years HR-related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred
  • In-depth understanding of HR processes and related regulations
  • Previous experience addressing and resolving associate relations issues
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced and flexible environment
  • Well organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of MS office software – MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

  • Prolonged periods of personal computer usage and data entry
  • Ability to operate an automobile
  • Frequent daily travel
