Senior Business Analyst - Consolidation: A Pivotal Role in Financial Planning & Analysis

Are you ready to be the cornerstone of our FP&A organization? As a Senior Business Analyst - Consolidation, you’ll report directly to the Senior Director of Finance – FP&A and play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of our company.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Innovate: Drive the administration and preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic financial analyses.
  • Analyze and Advise: Provide senior management with insightful analysis of consolidated financial results, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow across various business dimensions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Assist in audit procedures and capital project justifications, including EVA analysis and lease/buy decisions.
  • Collaborate and Guide: Act as the finance liaison for cross-functional teams and monitor performance against key company targets and metrics.
  • Report and Influence: Perform ad-hoc reporting and assist in special projects to analyze complex business situations and foster growth.

Your Path Forward: This role isn’t just a job; it’s a stepping stone to a Finance Manager position, serving as the key consolidation point for the Senior Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forge efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Partner with finance leaders to support financial analysis needs.
  • Develop and report budgets and forecasts for Matco.
  • Manage financial aspects of special projects.
  • Conduct monthly reporting and variance analysis.
  • Assess product margins and business unit performance.

Career Progression: Your journey can lead to roles such as Plant Controller or Sr. Director within Finance, or managerial positions across Matco and Vontier.

  • A strategic thinker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting; a Graduate Degree is a plus.
  • Someone with 5-8 years of financial/business experience and a proven track record in budgeting/forecasting.
  • A master of Excel and financial modeling, with a keen analytical mind and strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP, Hyperion, and J D Edwards systems.
