Alterman has an opening for the position of Driver. This position plays a key role in supporting our company’s warehouse and operations. The Driver will perform a wide variety of activities including loading, unloading and transporting tools, materials and supplies, and assisting the warehouse.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport materials, tools, and supplies to job sites in the Austin area.
• Loading and unloading trucks, secure materials and tools for transport.
• Support and assist in job clean offs and organizing and storing excess inventory.
• Assist in warehouse and storage areas clean-up and maintenance.
• Maintain vehicles in good working order.
• Abide by all company safety regulations and rules of conduct.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Current forklift certification and knowledge of warehouse equipment required.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
• Must be 21 years or older. 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and handle tools, material and equipment up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
