The Microsoft Applied Sciences Group (ASG), a nimble startup group within Microsoft’s Windows division, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to help push the envelope of user experiences at the intersection of software, machine learning, and hardware.
In the past, we’ve typically explored new user experience concepts and built the earliest prototypes, then collaborated with other, bigger teams to bring a product to market. We’re now looking to continue that work, with a view to the new interactions enabled by recent advances in Large Language Models (LLM) and other large AI/ML models.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
