Employee-owned HDR is currently seeking qualified individuals for our growing dam, levee, civil works and water supply management programs in Colorado. Our globally coordinated, locally delivered team is committed to improving the resiliency, sustainability, and safety of our communities. Our nation’s dams, levees and water supply systems are being upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate, provide more efficient renewable power and meet growing water needs. HDR engineers are leading the way to solve our toughest water infrastructure problems. We are seeking professionals with interest in the following to join our growing team in Colorado: water resources engineering, geotechnical/geological engineering, structural engineering, risk informed decision making, flood hydrology and consequences, constructability and cost estimating, project delivery support, planning, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist project engineers and senior engineers in various water resources management related projects, including dams/levees/civil works and water supply management
  • Field and desktop data collection.
  • Modeling and analysis.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations.
  • Environmental permitting support.
  • Technical report development.
  • Development of visual aids for client and stakeholder presentations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard software, including: Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, and ability to work both independently and with dynamic teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments successfully.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related field.
  • 2 years of industry experience

The expected compensation range for this position is $68,723.00 - $92,978.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
