Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Marketing Services Manager, we'll count on you to: 

  • Take responsibility for efficient operation of a business group or area marketing program
  • Support similar activities in individual departments throughout corporation by providing standardized marketing and presentation materials, resumes and project data including histories and photographs
  • Ensure that schedules in proposal submissions are met and that various aspects of the proposals (technical scope, staff qualification and experience, biographical data, government forms, contract terms and conditions) are properly presented in a timely fashion
  • Provide overall marketing direction for business area and oversee accurate capture and reporting of monthly marketing results
  • Direct staff necessary to coordinate and complete all or any part of proposals and presentation documents
  • Support pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies through capture planning for upcoming project opportunities
  • Facilitate pursuit teams to develop persuasive proposal and interview materials 
  • Develop and manage proposal work plans and schedules and confirm compliance to RFP documents
  • Engage the appropriate marketing and technical resources in pursuit teams
  • Lead quality reviews of proposal and interview materials
  • Administer implementation of the go/no-go decision process in accordance with HDR’s Matrix of Authority 
  • Lead or support development and implementation of client development plans, including long-term strategies to capture market share
  • Coach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentations or client meetings
  • Facilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitiveness
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or closely related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Adobe InDesign
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a desire to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and work simultaneously with multiple clients (internal and external)
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years marketing management experience in a consulting engineering environment
  • Works cooperatively with regional, department, technical and marketing managers and project staff 
  • Ability to communicate, coordinate and work simultaneously with multiple clients (internal and external) 
  • Experience in proposal planning and coordination
  • Understanding of desktop publishing
  • Service and client-related personality
