The Team you will be part of

Welcome to GN Hearing and Platform Development, R&D. At our headquarters in Ballerup, you will join a dedicated team of release managers, project and program managers with different skills where we plan, manage, develop, integrate, verify, and release software for hearing aids, device accessories and the platform development kit.

Your contribution is appreciated and more specifically you will:

As our new release manager, you will drive the releases of the different components delivered by platform development.

– that being hearing aids, wireless accessories, chargers, or the platform development kit consisting of the communication drivers and supporting development tools.

This entails the coordination and communication of builds, and release candidates up to the releases, making sure the builds are delivered at the agreed time with the agreed quality, and contain the features delivered by multiple teams and in agreement with stakeholders. To do so, you will collaborate closely with agile teams, product owners, epic owners, architects, tech leads in a Scaled Agile setup, audiologist, product management, hardware, system verification, product quality and compliance and global operation, in order to recommend if the releases meet the expectations of the stakeholders.

Typical tasks include:

  • Assume responsibility for the coordination and communication of builds and releases
  • Ensure that features planned and resolved defects are included in the respective builds and releases
  • Actively engage and collaborate with subject matter experts across the functions to ensure alignment with regards to requirements and defects
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead verification across teams
  • Write and deliver the supported release documentation
  • Configuration and build management responsibility
  • Use your talent for optimization and improvements to drive one or more common improvement projects, focusing on e.g. our procedures, guidelines, documentation, tools or practices

In this role, having an overview while having an eye for details is key. You have the collaboration skills needed to work with the teams and work across functions and borders within an international organization and bring people together to find great solutions. You know how to handle high technical complexity, and you are innovative and quality-focused in your work. To be successful in your role, you possess the ability to

  • Understand the complexity of embedded solutions and related challenges
  • Execute through Agile teams, adapt and communicate your plan continuously
  • Perform on a high level and absorb information quickly
  • Be open minded, solution driven and highly motivated
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and decision making skills

We expect that you

  • Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar and preferably have worked in similar role before
  • Have 5+ years of experience in a software development environment, handling complex technical software solutions
  • Are familiar with project management tools and Agile methods. It would be an advantage if you are certified in Prince II, PMI, PMP, ISTQB, Scrum or SAFe. If not – you will have the opportunity to get your certification with us.
  • Have a quality mindset and preferably have led distributed test teams in different time zones
  • Have strong organizational, interpersonal, and excellent communicator with an open and structured mind-set
  • Have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Danish would be an advantage.
