Job Description

What's it all about?

Business Development Team in Central Eastern Europe focuses on growth of categories growth in 8 markets being Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia. We lead our cluster efforts in the areas of sales and proposition for commercial cards, SME/ Corporate business, transactional banking, money movement (payments solutions that can enable funds delivery across various networks such as card networks, Automated Clearing Houses and real time payments networks, FX treasury services). These specific business lines are seen as significant drivers for Visa’s future growth.

The role will primarily focus on driving business development efforts in Romania, in the following areas:

  • Visa’s money movement initiatives
  • Visa Business and Visa Commercial cards solutions delivery
  • Support in delivery of Visa core business objectives

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Work with local and regional resources to develop and execute strategies to increase payments volume and secure long-term revenue with key Issuers and Partners in the areas of responsibility
  • Use your network to find, develop and manage commercial relationships with issuers, fintechs and partners in the region, driving commercial products and money movement services in close collaboration with sales heads and account executives
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client’s business objectives are met and their performance metrics are optimized
  • Develop a solid projects pipeline, drive conversion over time and secure revenues
  • Engage with local and regional internal stakeholders in order to secure resources needed to execute strategy and opportunities
  • Develop collateral, internal and external product content, collaborating with local and regional product partners and other stakeholders in the area of expertise (payments, FX management, commercial payment flows, commercial cards)
  • Coordinate and own the local key commercial and money movement sales pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are properly reported in CRM tools

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least

5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or

2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least

5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or

2 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Proven experience and knowledge of financial/banking services/cash

management/payments/ FX

  • Corporate/SME and/or micro businesses sector view would be a plus
  • Business experience in sales and/or relationship management roles would be

an asset

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the payments industry landscape (cards payments

expertise would be a plus)

  • Creativity and out of the box thinking
  • Highly developed relationship management skills with a deep sales orientation
  • Ability to develop, lead, close and grow competitive sales efforts
  • Ability to effectively engage with and grow a wide range of internal and external

stakeholders

  • Ability to influence people, plan, prioritize and track execution across cross-

functional matrix and with external partners

  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Degree level education is desirable, or equivalent professional experience
