As a front-end software engineer at Health at Scale, you will work with an exceptional team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to build fast, scalable, secure, reliable, and robust software platforms, systems and applications that are used in real-time to drive impact for millions of people. You will design, maintain, and deploy complex mission-critical systems in production settings. In addition, you will implement new features, improve architecture and APIs, increase efficiency and scalability, ensure reliability and robustness, monitor performance, and engage in iterative development. You will play a core role in creating and maintaining production software that drives impact for some of the largest deployments of machine intelligence in healthcare to date.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop next-generation healthcare machine intelligence applications
• Create robust, easy-to-use, high-volume production applications providing an exceptional user experience and driving positive actionability in addressing major healthcare challenges
• Design and implement compelling client-side user-interfaces that are dynamic and responsive
• Work closely with design, engineering, and clinical teams to revise and update applications and technical documentation based on on continuing user research, testing and feedback

Requirements

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
• 2+ years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Strong understanding of the foundational concepts of application design, scalability and security
• Experience with modern web applications frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with interactive data visualization technologies (e.g., d3.js, chart.js)
• Experience with cloud deployment
