Standards and Best Practices
- Create and enforce cloud architecture standards, including security, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Maintain documentation related to cloud and infrastructure configurations, processes, procedures, and patterns.
- Perform cloud cost analysis and optimization, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure the adherence of cloud solutions to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest Cloud technologies and services, evaluating their potential impact and proposing relevant solutions.
Design and Projects
- Design for end-to-end software lifecycle automation, cloud infrastructure management and other initiatives.
- Lead the selection and implementation of cloud technologies and services based on architectural guidelines and best-fit solutions.
People and collaborations
- Provide guidance and mentorship to cloud engineering teams, assisting with technical challenges and complex problem-solving.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Config as Code (CaC) principles and tools.
- Embrace DevOps approach and collaboration with other teams (Product, Operations, Engineering, Enterprise Architects)
- 8+ years of professional experience as Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with Microsoft Azure/AWS cloud services.
- Understanding of security best practices in Azure/AWS environments, including identity and access management, encryption, Azure Security Center, AWS IAM.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning new cloud technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure. Certification in one or more cloud platforms is highly desirable.
- Expertise in designing cloud-based solutions using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
