Sr. Compliance Analyst, Work Authorization & Investigations

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Compliance Analyst position is responsible for providing guidance on I-9 and work authorization matters. This position works closely with total rewards and leads I-9 case administration and system requirements. This position works with operations and support teams to ensure compliance with internal policies, and legal compliance with work authorization requirements. This position investigates work authorization matters, and provides timely case resolution. This position develops job aids as needed to assist restaurant teams in meeting work authorization obligations. This position uses experience and information obtained from benchmarking, best practices, trends to provide effective, risk-based compliance guidance and support. This position is an individual contributor position.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Analyzes and provides guidance and support to operations on work authorization matters
  • Partners with human resources and operations to resolve work authorization issues
  • Provides accurate tracking and analytics on current trends, activity, and challenges associated with I-9s and work authorization. Develops and implements strategies to proactively address challenges.
  • Conducts investigations related to I-9s and work authorization, and partners with Operations and Human Resources on resolution
  • Analyzes processes and leverages technology to develop and implement procedures/practices that increase efficiencies and productivity
  • Represents department in cross-functional projects and other special projects as assigned
  • Works with external vendors to support compliance program functions and goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, legal studies or related discipline OR equivalent experience in human resources or compliance field
  • 5+ years progressive professional experience in ethics and compliance, legal, or human resources environment that includes:
  • Investigating, responding to and resolving compliance matters
  • Experience in work authorization or related compliance matters
  • Assessing and implementing compliance initiatives
  • Analyzing data and information
  • Strong program and process leadership experience
  • Practical application of laws governing work authorization and related compliance matters
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency a plus
  • CCEP, PMP or other relevant certification a plus
