The Senior Pricing & Market Insights Manager defines a pricing strategy that aligns Uponor’s value and market dynamics; and develops a market intelligence approach that informs strategic business decisions. This person can think strategically and execute effectively by creating and managing the analytics and processes that underpin effective pricing strategy and market intelligence. 

This role partners closely with category management, marketing, sales, and finance to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business goals; and can synthesize the wide swath of data and information they gather into key trends and insights. They understand data is more than what can be pulled from a system; and are able to develop an in-depth understanding of customer and competitor trends through VOC and market research. 

This position is a HYBRID role with combination of remote and onsite work in Apple Valley, and reports to the Vice President, Marketing and Strategy.

What will you be doing?

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with business objectives, market conditions, product segmentation, and competitive landscapes. 
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and threats to pricing strategies and inform business strategy. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive pricing, and market dynamics to adjust pricing strategies as needed. 
  • Profitability Analysis and Data Analysis: Assess product costs, margins, and profitability to optimize pricing and pricing structures. Utilize data analytics tools and software to gather insights and support pricing decisions. 
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives, and performs other duties as assigned. 

What will you need? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics or related field. 
  • 5+ years experience in pricing management, market intelligence, or as a strategic finance support for Marketing; preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. 
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and make recommendations based on trends and market insights 
  • Experience of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability 
  • Knowledge of pricing software and tools is a plus. 
  • Must be self-starter, goal oriented, and take initiative to achieve objectives. 
  • Must be a strong team player. 
  • Proven success working cross-functionally to ensure collaboration on shared goals.
