Position Summary: The Business Solution Analyst Manufacturing - Golf Ball works with IT, golf ball manufacturing teams, and business stakeholders to collect, clarify, and translate manufacturing and business requirements into documentation and conceptual designs from which applications and solutions are developed. The Business Solution Analyst is an active thought partner and collaborative visionary who helps shape technology demand in the manufacturing area. Position reports to Sr. Business Solution Manager.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with Solution Manager and manufacturing teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements in the manufacturing area
  • Liaises with IT project teams to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions
  • Provides in-depth analysis and business intelligence support for stakeholders in manufacturing, finance, and inventory management. Helps drive continuous improvement through data and functional analysis.
  • Facilitates regular requirement gathering and design sessions with manufacturing user community and communicates expectations to the development team and Solution Manager
  • Work with Solution Manager to negotiate innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards
  • Works with multiple stakeholders to assess the impact of proposed solutions, facilitate deployments and minimize disruption to services
  • Works with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
  • Creates documents to describe application usage and operating procedures
  • Assists Solution Manager with coordinating the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Able to map business requirements into solutions covered or not covered by existing platforms and tools
  • Assists in negotiating contracts, support agreements, and other arrangements as it relates to IT manufacturing applications
  • Works closely with IT infrastructure, Service Desk, and Development groups in support of and delivery of information technology applications for manufacturing
  • Stays abreast of latest technology and regularly reviews potential paths of change with Solution Manager
  • Assist with project management of key technology projects
  • Articulates benefits of information technology to key business management and users
  • Follows, practices, and champions ITIL standards and processes

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Strong experience and business acumen in manufacturing
  • Highly self-motivated, optimistic, and eager to learn new processes and technologies. 
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong project management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Fully understands systems development life cycle
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and resources simultaneously

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Advanced/Data Analytics or related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ of analysis experience in IT related field
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) / Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), especially cloud-based systems.
  • Expertise and knowledge in business intelligence tools and reporting
  • Experience with the following applications and technologies is a plus:
  • Oracle EBS Supply Chain module
  • Oracle Planning Modules – PCCS
  • MESTEC
  • Power BI
  • Domo
  • Hands on technical experience with Industrial IoT is a plus
  • Experience or training in ITIL preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • Frequent travel may be required.
