About Density

Density’s mission is to measure and improve our footprint on the world.

We help companies understand how their workplaces are used. We do that by observing behavior in the office through our highly accurate and always anonymous sensors. In other words: where are people actually spending their time?

We translate that data into actionable, opinionated insights that help companies increase the financial and experiential performance of any workplace.

Today, we work with companies from Fortune 500s to high growth innovators in technology, financial services and healthcare, occupying more than a billion square feet worldwide.

And we’re in it for the long game: what if we knew more, created better spaces, and could build cities that worked and felt better? That’s where you come in.

The Opportunity:

The mission of the Account Leads team is to make Density the best company our customers have ever worked with.

As an Account Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a world class experience and get to maximum value from their investment in Density. This role is accountable to customer value and customer health for a portfolio of key accounts.

Our customers are large organizations with millions (often tens of millions) of square feet of office space. You’ll become an extension of our customers’ teams, build a deep understanding of their business needs, help them operationalize Density data, and maximize their return on investment. This will ultimately culminate in project success, retention, renewal, and growth.

This is not your typical software Customer Success role. Our customers expect a full-stack partner when they invest in Density – which extends beyond software into our ability to craft and deliver data driven narratives. Expect to go deep on our customers’ datasets and partner with our data, engineering, and product teams to translate large datasets into actionable insights through data presentations and software product.

You’ll love this job if building relationships, telling data-driven stories, and helping shape high quality experiences in the physical and digital world are energizing to you.

In this role you will:

  • Be the internal CEO and trusted advisor for a portfolio of key accounts. Lead our post-sale engagement, retention, and growth of your customers in collaboration with Account Executives
  • Build close relationships with real estate executives, data analysts, facilities, and workplace teams and help these teams converge to get value from Density
  • Partner with our data teams to tell stories with Density data that help your customers use Density data to improve their portfolios
  • Be an expert in the Density product (software, hardware, and API). Enable users on how to best use Density to get to value, manage new feature rollouts, and know when to fill the gap with our internal data teams
  • Work closely with our professional services and support teams to ensure data hygiene, debug hardware issues, and build trust in Density data
  • Advocate for Density users internally to inform the next generation of Density products and ensure everyone at Density operates closely to our users

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role like customer success or consulting, ideally working with a technical product
  • A deep sense of hospitality and urgency
  • Analytical thinking skills. You’re able to troubleshoot complex problems and distill complex data/information into what’s essential
  • Strong ability to talk to and empathize with customers, uncover their problems via open-ended questions, and design creative solutions
  • Executive presence and presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • An excellent communicator, both internally and externally
  • High rate of learning, deep curiosity, and desire to work (and win) as a team
  • Exposure to data tooling – you’ve used BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Hex) and/or may have basic SQL skills

We offer:

  • Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, mental and reproductive health, 401K, equity, Flex Fridays, unlimited and mandatory PTO and more.
  • A company full of fun, smart, talented and legitimately kind teammates. Our culture powers everything we do and we work hard to nurture it by bringing on the right humans.
  • A team hailing from innovators like Apple, LinkedIn, Stripe, Meraki, Flexport, WeWork, NASA & beyond.
  • $227M raised from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund and Upfront Ventures.
  • The chance to change the built world as we know it.
