Overview

The tech lead integrates technical expertise with managerial skills, managing and guiding a team of developers as part of a cross-functional product-team in aligning their technical efforts with business objectives, fostering innovation, and ensuring high-quality product delivery.

  • This position is a hybrid role. Employees work collaboratively in office on Tuesday and Wednesday in Parsippany, NJ*

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage, mentor and develop others on the team
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, customers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Responsible for timeline and roadmap of the product development process
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on our development practices
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and maintainable software architectures
  • Lead the technical design and development of web applications; both frontend and backend
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and learning
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage team dynamics, and resolve conflicts

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
  • Min 7 years of experience as a Tech Lead or similar role
  • Expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and relevant frontend libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Proficiency in Node.js/Deno/Bun and server-side TypeScript development.
  • Experience from delivering products with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to mentor, lead and manage technical teams effectively
  • Have a proactive and collaborative approach to leadership and be a team-player
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology decisions with the strategy and goals
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Have an analytical mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
