Serves as the Division’s Financial Leader and Strategic Partner for Physician Operation’s Leadership team. Interprets financial performance/results to identify opportunities to strengthen performance. Leads interactions and MORs for Division and Hospital Leadership. Responsible for the oversight of the Director of Revenue, Assistant Controller, and Financial Analysts. Responsible for the creation and/or validation of proformas related to acquisitions, provider recruitment, and new program development. Provides strategic guidance and insight for projections, forecasting and budgeting.
SUPERVISOR: Division Vice President of Practice Operations for Central West Texas Division with dotted lines to Physician Services Group CFO and Division CFO
SUPERVISES: Assistant Controller, Director of Revenue, and Financial Analysts
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in accounting or other business-related field required, Masters preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years of progressive accounting/financial experience required; preferably seven years’ experience. Prefer three years in a physician practice management or healthcare-related environment. Supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: CPA preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORKING CONDITIONS, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Work is performed in an office environment. Requires sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours. Entails prolonged periods of sitting or standing, with some bending, stretching, and stooping. Requires clarity of vision sufficient to read and prepare necessary reports. Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to use a keyboard, calculator, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment. Requires hearing sufficient to hear alarms, telephones, and normal speaking voices.
