Toll Brothers, America's Luxury Home Builder, seeks a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team at our Corporate office in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

What is the opportunity? 

We are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President, FP&A. This is a highly influential role within the company that reports to the SVP, Treasurer and works closely and collaboratively with different functions across the organization. This VP will be a valued, strategic business partner who will lead and scale our FP&A function across the entire organization. This leader will have the opportunity to influence the company’s strategic growth objectives and drive the right business decisions through actionable insights and analyses.

What are the primary responsibilities? 

  • Lead and oversee strategic and annual business plans, quarterly and monthly forecast updates, predictive analytics, internal reporting, and performance management against projections.
  • Drive the budgeting processes and optimize expense management within the business, driving efficiencies and ensuring that investments are suitably analyzed, and operational costs appropriately controlled.
  • Create a culture of FP&A excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner on financial matters, providing guidance and assistance to all functional groups as needed.
  • Partner with the leadership team to help translate business strategies and objectives into financial goals and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership to the FP&A team, constantly raising the bar of expectation, establish best practices, and instill a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity, and transparency.
  • Recommend and deliver process improvements and enhanced analytics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Elevate and scale processes and systems for forecasting and modeling in order to expediently provide financial guidance, support strategic investments, and drive financial decisions.
  • Manage the company P&L to ensure we meet and achieve our performance targets and ensure leadership has timely visibility into risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare executive presentations and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors as needed.
  • Prepare financial reporting including, dynamic dashboards, business analyses, financial statements, KPI reporting, operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences.

  • Ability to proactively manage change and independently prioritize tasks, organize complex workload to accomplish objectives in a timely manner.

Do you have these qualifications? 

  • Essential:
  • 15+ years of experience with a minimum of 8 years FP&A experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience. CPA/CFA a plus, MBA strongly preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to see, and model current and future states.
  • Proven experience in scaling companies, driving change and supporting growing teams within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Effective and persuasive in leading change, applying business acumen, company values, while demonstrating the emotional intelligence that inspires others.
  • Builds collaborative relationships across various partners and influences senior stakeholders.
  • Must demonstrate a deep familiarity with financial accounting, modeling, and analysis.
  • Must be an analytical thinker that will drive qualitative and quantitative analysis for strategic business issues.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to lead change and drive execution.
  • Preferred:
  • Homebuilder or real estate experience
  • Experience with EPM tools
  • Experience with BI tools
