Overview

The Campus Executive Director is responsible for managing and supervising the financial, programmatic, operational, marketing, and business functions of the Campus. This position is ultimately responsible for 24/7 oversight of community operations.

  • This is a full time 80 hours per two week pay period, salaried position

Responsibilities/Job Description

Create and maintain a high performing leadership team within the community: 

  • Hire and supervise department directors. 
  • Develop performance and operational goals with department directors. 
  • Provide on-going support to and encourages professional development of the department directors. 
  • Assess directors’ performance and provide regular feedback. Address performance issues promptly and effectively. 
  • Promote staff understanding of the roles they play in the accomplishment of the goals of the community and provides supportive feedback on a regular basis. 
  • Be visible - make regular rounds on the Campus; connect with staff on all shifts 

Direct and coordinate activities/operations for the Campus: 

  • Provide clear directions, explains reasons for decisions, and solicits employee input to maximize group capabilities. 
  • Reflect problem solving skills, which diagnose problems quickly, and recommends or implements effective solutions. 
  • Prioritize multiple tasks to assure appropriate actions are initiated when needed. 
  • Direct and participate in the strategic planning process for the community and Fairview/Ebenezer system. 
  • Assure corporate strategic goals reach across the campus 
  • Serve as an administrative lead for identified department committees. 

Organize the functions of departments and buildings through appropriate delegation of duties: 

  • Establish formal means of accountability from those to whom the Executive Director has assigned duties using standards/goals with communication. 
  • Regularly schedule 1:1 meetings with department heads, interdepartmental and department head meetings to maintain communication and cooperation between team members. 
  • Set and review goals with Campus department managers for the operation of the departments under their management. 
  • Names appropriate departmental representatives to multidisciplinary committees of the campus and Fairview/Ebenezer. 
  • Support and lead the Campus to continue to improve our customer service using Truthpoint surveys. 

Monitor financial performance: 

  • Develop the annual budget and monitor monthly activity. 
  • Support department directors with developing budget and financial goals. 
  • Meet monthly with department directors to review financial performance and assure budget compliance. 
  • Review and monitor monthly financial statements with Ebenezer Corporate office. 

Oversee monthly billing process for residents/tenants: 

  • Issue resident/tenant statements with accuracy. 
  • Answer billing questions from residents/tenants/responsible parties. 
  • Collect and track resident/tenant payments. 
  • Complete bank deposits. 
  • Provide complete and timely information to accounting department. 

Establish and support an environment conducive to the provision of quality services and high-level customer satisfaction: 

  • Is highly engaged with residents and families. 
  • Meet regularly with appropriate tenant/resident committees. 
  • Respond effectively to resident or family concerns. 
  • Routinely conducts and/or reviews satisfaction surveys. 
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service and holds all employees to the same. 

Support the development of a sales/marketing plan and other programs aimed at sustaining strong occupancy/census goals: 

  • Support sales/marketing staff in the development and implementation of effective sales/marketing strategies. 
  • Monitor occupancy/census data. 
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and follow- up quality improvement initiatives. 

Monitor the maintenance of the building and grounds and provide feedback/direction to appropriate staff as necessary. 

Ensure the community is in compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and regulations. 

Perform other duties as assigned and directed. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) or Licensed Health Services Executive (LHSE) by BELTSS Board
  1. Meets requirements for Assisted Living Director – In Residence (ALD-IR) by obtaining a permit form BELTSS as an ALD-IR within 30-days of hire date and have experience in the management of an AL or related facility or must be enrolled in a BELTSS approved program within six (6) months of permit issuance (Refer to MN Rule 6400.7080B). Required to graduate from approved program, complete the field experience and pass the examinations within one year of hire date. 
  • 3-5 Year Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree: or Senior Housing, Business or Related
