What You Can Expect

As our Project Manager Intern (PM), you will support the PM team in ensuring that all assigned solar photovoltaic and energy storage projects are built according to specifications, operate as designed, and meet budget and schedule expectations. In this role you will get the opportunity to take ownership of the project after site control is established, becoming the information resource for the client until the system is operational and handed over to our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team. You will work closely with our Engineering team to understand technical aspects of system designs, procure materials and labor, and enforce strict health and safety requirements. This internship will expose you to many of these responsibilities, working closely with the PM you will support. This internship program spans three (3) months, running from May to August 2024. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and reports to the Manager of Project Delivery, Engineering & Delivery.

  • Manages project schedules, providing progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provides regular status updates to clients, including schedule and budget/cost updates
  • Coordinates with engineering and development teams to secure permits, negotiate interconnection agreements, and deliver construction drawings
  • Collaborates with internal and external procurement resources to support supplier contracts

What You’ll Bring

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • You are proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You are adept at time management
  • You are able to lead and adapt in a demanding, ever-changing environment, working collaboratively to achieve goals

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy consisting of with a minimum of two (2) days in the Chicago, IL
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $21.00 – $25.00 USD Hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
