Job Description

Purpose

  • Support Business Planning and Operations (BPO) team and partner with business development and functional units in managing Visa business to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Participate in creation of robust country & functional plans; track/report progress against plans aligned with timing of regular business reviews
  • Support BPO Head in creation and management of the governance framework for CIS&SEE leadership team to review performance of all CIS&SEE markets through periodic cross-functional review meetings
  • Participate in CIS&SEE AOP process; facilitate best possible resource allocation for key business initiatives. Co-ordinate collection of relevant data with functional units, business development teams and management
  • Act as champion for Deal management excellence activities in CISSEE

Business Analysis & Business Reporting

  • Provide business development teams, functional units and management with a clear picture of current business performance and progress towards targets via preparation of relevant reports and dashboards
  • Review monthly financial data produced by Finance department to ensure that information is accurate and work closely with Finance team to investigate any abnormalities
  • Prepare monthly market profitability reports with commentary to highlight trends and key drivers contributing to the financial results.
  • Ad-hoc analysis (e.g. deep dives into markets, clients, products, revenue streams) to drive new sales efforts, identify gaps to targets and provide business insights that can support and enhance decision-making
  • Collate and review inputs about key business activities in the region from key internal stakeholders to produce weekly (Executive dashboard), Investor Relations overviews and business performance reporting packs (MBR and QBR) for the Executive Management team.
  • Lead the prioritization, planning and execution of all market research requests for the geography.
  • Participate in creation of common Financial Reporting tools for the Region.
  • Develop effective management dashboards and provide insights based on internal/external data
  • Track market dynamics and Visa’s market share in order to trigger competitive response where relevant
  • Design and develop appropriate reporting and MIS tools to transform complex data into concise and highly readable format

Deal Management

  • Work closely with business development teams and Finance to define appropriate deal structures, ensure deal profitability and safeguard company’s risk position
  • Enhance PFG deal building process by supporting BD Team and Functional Heads
  • Review and assess (challenge if necessary) client’s business case and projections
  • Manage and support following processes:
  • Alignment with Functional Heads on the products/services to be offered within the deal;
  • Review and align on client requirements and deal structure with the Deal Team and/or Finance Team;
  • Developing Excel Deal Pro Forma with all the requirements and drivers;
  • Support BD in preparation of the Client review for PFG PPT (Background / Current Situation; Deal Rationale; etc)
  • Share and support Excel Pro Forma and PFG PPT review by the Finance Team and CSR
  • Support CM/BD/Finance during deal presentation to GIG
  • Support contract development by Legal/Finance
  • Analyze and evaluate reasons for lost deals and highlight improvement areas for future reference.
  • Investigate and identify cause of factors for deals underperforming targets and work with internal stakeholders to define an action plan accordingly.
  • Orchestrate functions’ efforts to generate and realize the effective deals and opportunities pipeline.
  • Provide support in deal pipeline management by managing Deal Calendar, setting and aligning priorities with all functions involved in the process

Competitive intelligence & Data Science

  • Manage and deliver data science engagements, develop analytical models, and deploy techniques within the organization
  • Develop business intelligence solutions, improve reporting quality within the organization
  • Contribute to local market data quality improvement to improve accuracy of decisions
  • Enhance existing data science techniques by promoting new methodologies and best practices in the field
  • Work with large volumes of data, extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Hadoop Ecosystem through scripting in Python, Spark, SQL, etc. Hands-on skills in cleaning, manipulating, analyzing, visualizing large data sets
  • Contribute towards automated solutions where modeling skills or access to VisaNet is required to enable enhanced data-driven decisioning
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on client-specific portfolio data including proprietary information, such as customer demographics, activity, spend levels and financial information
  • Clearly communicate the findings and recommendations, drive deployment and implementation of solutions, as well as track impact
  • Identify relevant market trends based on a deep analysis of payment industry information
  • Provide leadership to identify strategic and tactical innovation opportunities around data and data-related processes that will promote fact-based decisioning processes
  • Work with regional and global Data Science teams to develop high-quality analytic products and solutions that promote growth and business development for the region
  • Communicate complex concepts and the results of the analyses in a clear and effective manner
  • Document all projects developed and write other documentation as needed. Identify and share best practices for key topics

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • А minimum of 6-8 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, management consulting, payments industry, financial services.
  • Understanding of Payments and Banking Industry including Consumer Credit, Consumer debit, Small Business, Commercial, Co-Brand and Merchant
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Superior analytical, quantitative, modelling and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor addressing a wide variety of functional business problems.
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to business development and functional teams
  • Ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion
  • Ability to quickly assess an opportunity’s potential, leveraging fact-based analysis and industry experience.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines.
  • Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical Expertise is preferred
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English languages
