As a “Demand Planning Specialist” at HP’s Customer Support Supply Chain (CSSC) Organization for the Personal Systems Platform, you will receive opportunities to apply your creative thinking and analytical skills, further your knowledge of and experience in applying Big Data and Data science techniques using latest tools in and thrive in a growing space.

The Services Supply Chain ships more than 9M parts, processes 650k whole unit repair events globally per year through an extensive network of outsourcing partners.

The Demand Planning Specialist will be responsible to develop an end user demand forecast using demand signals with help of statistical models and latest technology tools

Job specifics/responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes, such as demand planning activities for multiple, complex Stock Keeping Unit (SKUs), ensuring that performance (inventory, cost, service level etc.) meets the overall business needs, including but not limited to: Demand Forecasting, E & O material management, successful launch and positing of material to support new product launches, End of Support Life (EOSL) material management, life time Buy (LTB’s) and monitoring and risk management of same
  • Leverage historical forecast data, end-user demand, market and product intelligence, statistical forecasting inputs, AI and Machine Learning to create a robust process and drive continued, sustained accuracy improvements on material demand plans
  • Work closely with partner management team to assure alignment and assurance of supply of service materials
  • Work closely with regional network inventory management team to assure LOF and other service material supply requirements are met
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop recommendations
  • Coordinate or lead regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes
  • Review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Lead or support projects
  • Communicate requirements & guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams

Key performance indicators:

  • Forecast accuracy
  • Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) driven by Forecast Accuracy
  • Level of Fill (LOF) impact driven by forecast Accuracy
  • Process Improvements

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree is good to have.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a supply chain/data analysis function
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver) would be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good knowledge in material planning and understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make, deliver)
  • Strong Analytics, communication and influencing skills; expert in English and local language
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and other latest planning tools & technologies
  • Good project management and process reengineering skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies
  • Proven relationship management skills
  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility
  • Developed leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management
