DESCRIPTION

We live in a connected world and WiFi has become a critical component to every home. eero is the first company to deliver a whole home WiFi experience using mesh technology to make sure you never have to worry about WiFi ever again.

eero is looking for a talented and inquisitive lab engineer to build and maintain our WiFi labs and automation setups.You will work directly with development teams, test automation engineers, and peer QA teams to iteratively improve our software development process.You will be be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the eero device labs, supports spaces and equipment resources, including hardware and software, update all lab infrastructure, equipment, and software configurations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain the eero device Labs. (Requires coming into the office everyday)
  • Ensure availability of test equipment and parts.
  • Working with vendors for device procurement, inventory management and shipping.
  • Bring up test beds for supporting the automation framework.
  • Setup test equipment for bug reproduction,demos & assist engineers onsite.
  • Understanding customer use cases, strong device/system troubleshooting skills down to component and software levels.
  • Update and execute JIRA requests, including clear and timely communication with the team.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on test beds, procedures and inventory

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Taipei, TPE, TWN

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 year technical degree (preferably Engineering or Telecommunications) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Consumer Electronics lab environment.
  • Experience planning and maintaining lab facilities for optimal efficiency and creating new processes when necessary.
  • Knowledge Operating Systems (Mac, Win, and Linux), PCs and Peripherals.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting desktop and/or mobile systems
  • Excellent and proven troubleshooting skills,specifically in the Wi-Fi, switch and router areas.
  • Experience in understanding the RF components and WiFi test setup constructions.
  • Ability to work independently, under high pressure in a multifaceted environment with concurrent projects.
  • Initiative to recognize areas of improvement and take action.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Scripting experience using Python, Perl or shell.
  • Familiar with Jenkins build automation environment.
  • Proficient in the understanding of networking and WiFi concepts.
  • Previous roles in QA or QA Automation a plus.
  • Network+ or equivalent certification experience.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
