  • Management of Quality control, quality assurance, developing a management system fully compliant with local legislation and any applicable regulations and codes of practice, modelled around the requirements of ISO9001:2015 'Quality Management Systems' and the underlying philosophy to promote a culture of continuous improvement that meets the policy requirements of the Employer. 
  • Review of the procedures related to the quality control and quality assurance of the works in delivery of a right first time policy,
  • Managing the quality control procedures and review of the quality assurance of the Contractor,
  • Manage the non-conformance process for effective resolution and process improvement, The formal review and approval, of all participating parties with regards to quality assurance and quality control,
  • Verification and validation of the effective implementation of the quality plans by means of surveillance and audit of project activities and the associated records as well as the monorail safety standards.
  • Development and implementation of 
  • Provides Code interpretation to team members if/when needed.
  • Develops requirements for quality statistics reporting (metrics)
  • Management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control 
  • Review and comment on the EPC Contractor’s Quality procedures and processes
  • Develops Quality Deliverables Matrix
  • Provides input as required to requests for information from EPC Contractor
  • Provides input as required to technical deviation requests from EPC Contractor
  • Collaborates on the review of the Supplier/Contractor Qualification Process
  • Participates in on site assessment of prospective EPC Contractor
  • Provides input to development and continuous updating of Approved Suppliers List
  • Provides input as required to the development of Equipment Criticality Ratings for the determination of inspection and testing requirements
  • Reviews/comments/tracks the EPC Contractor’s quality deliverable submittals
  • Develops and ensures implementation of a site construction assessment and verification process.
  • Promotion of Quality awareness throughout organization
  • Responsible for assessing work load, developing staffing plans, and recruitment of quality team members when needed.
  • Providing direction to all Quality Personnel.
  • Liaises closely with Document Management team to ensure progressive assemble of project quality documentation.
  • Collaborates with Systems Completion/Turnover function for quality documentation requirements
  • Develops and implements a Lessons Learned capture process.
  • Project Quality Policy and Objectives
  • Key implementation strategies
  • Project Quality Manual and/or Quality Plan (as applicable)
  • Quality Training and Orientation program
  • Specific Quality Work Instructions as needed.
  • Quality System Document Register
  • Nonconformance, Corrective, and Preventive Action process.
  • A quality auditing process for the EPC Contractor’s work
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent. 
  • A minimum of 15 years of construction experience with progressively more responsibility with respect to Quality Management on large transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse disciplines, backgrounds and cultures.
  • Experience in the management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control for Civil works and Railway systems.
  • Ability to lead and guide others in the implementation of Quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and organize resources. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Experience in Monorail preferable
