Software Architect
(Driver Information System & Displays)

Mission of the Role:
To create software architecture of the system that would fulfil user requirements and achieve the desired business outcome. Lead the SW architecture of Instrument cluster & Displays software to deliver a scalable, reliable, modular and high-quality product design, and guide the software development teams. To develop deep expertise in the Instrument cluster and Display technologies and work towards building our technology roadmap.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Understands & reviews the business requirements and defines scope clearly.
- Performs technical and functional feasibility study.
- Proposes Innovative and business aligned solutions.
- Supports estimation of effort and critical resources
- Analyzing and developing architecture solution
- Defines and maintains SW Architecture.
- Specifies architecturally significant requirements.
- Identifies and Leads Proof-Of-Concept
- Performs trade-off analysis.
- Development, Implementation and testing
- Ensures quality through reviewing critical technical items developed by SW team.
- Provides consultation/guidance on complex coding and solution deployment.
- Provides consultation on development of test strategy.
- Analyzes critical defects and defect trends and provides Corrective & Preventive solutions.
- Technical thought leadership
- Leads technical discussions with internal and external customers.
- Upgrades domain capability inline with market needs & trends to meet technology competitiveness.
- Publishes technical papers in conference / publications.
- Conducts SW Architecture workshops and executes roadmaps.
- Knowledge management and process improvement
- Defines criteria and evaluation matrix for products / technologies adaptation.
- Evaluates and recommends the selection of software/hardware and integration methods.
- Mentoring and providing technical training
- Makes continuous effort to simplify and streamline the development process.

Key Year One Deliverables:
- Shall learn the Visteon process and practice it in the first assigned project.
- Shall demonstrate the Work products created according to Visteon process.
- Shall demonstrate the proficiency in the tools used in Visteon for SW Architecture.
- Shall demonstrate the compliance to ASPICE L2 SWE.2
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in software product life cycle and embedded software development using C or C++ language
- 4+ years of experience in delivering Scalable Software Architectures Modelling
- 3+ years of experience in AUTOSAR based software development
- Experience with the UML, SysML, IBM Rational Rhapsody for embedded software development
- Experience in developing Distributed systems architectures
- Experience in developing Multithreaded applications
- Experience in developing Software DFMEAs
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, LIN, FLexray Automotive Ethernet is a plus
- Experience developing embedded real-time safety critical software systems using processes is also desirable
- High level of expertise in Instrument cluster and TFT Displays domains
