Position Overview

The role will be primarily focused on helping us to build into personalization at scale by identifying audiences, creating compelling narratives, and assisting the team in executing elevated cross-channel experiences for defined audiences. A heavy emphasis will be put on tracking audience behavior and performance across channels. The role will collaborate with our digital, marketing, and IT partners to identify and create audiences in our analytics platform, CDP, and other SAAS solutions supporting the digital ecosystem. Reporting on cross-channel audience performance and other requests from time-to-time such as assisting with statistical power testing, orchestrating and executing experiences on the website and other channels, and preparing and reporting test results. You will have the opportunity to partner with our personalization and analytics leads to ideate the future of the program. You will participate in proactive insights generation and will respond to ad-hoc requests for insights. As a member of the broader Web Analytics & Personalization team, you will help to drive significant improvements in ecommerce revenue by deeply interrogating metrics and transforming data to insights; you’ll proactively surface insights from data, advocate for them through elevated storytelling, and prove their value through testing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Audience Creation & Personalization

  • Identify high-value audiences, research audience behavior and attributes, & use tools such as internal analytics platform, CDP, Google Analytics, etc to create compelling narratives to fuel team ideation sessions for personalized experiences.
  • Leverage SQL and other tools for hands-on audience identification, research, & distribution for execution.
  • Provide expertise in SQL, audience creation, and personalization-at-scale. • Create & maintain reporting of audience cross-channel outcomes and performance.
  • Assist paid & owned team in discovering opportunities and reporting on campaigns for segmentation in relevant marketing channels (email, SMS, Google, paid social, etc).
  • Participate in weekly execution sessions for digital, marketing, and retail experiences. Insights, Analytics, & Reporting
  • Leverage tools such as Amperity, internal analytics platform, Google Analytics, Monetate, ContentSquare & others to identify areas of improvement & surface insights that increase revenue, decrease costs, or improve the user experience.
  • Leverage PowerPoint and elevated storytelling to evangelize insights and advocate data-driven hypotheses for testing.
  • Respond to requests from various internal & external stakeholders for performance data and reporting
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed
  • Provide and make recommendations for new and innovative tests, solutions for unmet reporting needs, and effective revenue and/or loyalty-driving strategies
  • Create and distribute all digital testing performance reports (daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.) Other
  • Other duties as assigned – the candidate will be cross-trained in web analytics, CRO, Voice of Customer, A/B testing, and advanced analytics methods, and will be expected to contribute to the entire team as needed.

Professional Qualifications:

Minimum

  • Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Data Science preferred; other subjects will be considered but a strong aptitude for mathematics and analytics must be shown
  • 3-5+ years of personalization/CRM/analytics/testing/user experience optimization with a strong, hands-on background in audience creation, reporting, and/or personalization.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience identifying, creating, and executing against audiences in big data platforms (BigQuery or Snowflake), CDP, and/or similar tools.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with A/B testing, personalization, and marketing tools, such as Monetate, Amperity, etc.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with creating audiences via SQL.
  • Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics experience • eCommerce and retail or commercial trading experience
  • Proven ability to leverage data to create value-added insights and storytelling.
  • Hands-on experience developing, executing, and measuring audiences and digital personalization experiences.
  • Ability to build and own strong cross-functional partnerships with Marketing and IT to deliver consistent omnichannel strategy

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or MBA
  • 5+ years experience in a large personalization-at-scale program.
  • Experience coding software such as SQL, R/RStudio, and Python; experience working with big data and associated techniques.
  • Experience coordinating with marketing counterparts to build cross-channel personalization, particularly in email & SMS.
  • Experience with UX design and prototyping preferred
  • eCommerce, retail, or commercial trading experience at luxury/lifestyle brand. Personal Characteristics:
