Position Summary

Purpose 

Individual working in this role would be part of team working on integrity projects with ample growth opportunity to develop technical expertise leading to technical leadership position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Learn about various assets in oil and gas industry (offshore/onshore) and support the integrity management programs for these assets.
  • Get trained on Integrity Management, & Inspection Management for different oil and gas assets.
  • Learn and use applicable industry codes/standards, legislation, accreditation, and Oceaneering or Client policies/procedures.
  • Learn and support risk assessments, life assessments, and associated engineering calculations or studies for static mechanical Pressure Systems, structures, pipelines as required.

NON-ESSENTIAL

  • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
  • Assist with any other duties as and when required.
  • Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g. Mechanical or Allied Engineering)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas domain.
  • Should be able to do basic mechanical/static calculations.
  • Self-driven & positive attitude.
  • Good communicator, both written, verbal, and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace
  • Work surface is stable (flat)
