WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Practice Area analyst will support the Social Impact Practice Area’s (SIPA) Management & Operations team to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and expanding business, including assisting with our people & business intelligence and other internal tasks / processes. 

SIPA was established in 2019, and is BCG's fastest growing practice area, covering topics such as Global Health, Global Development, Education, Total Societal Impact, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We work with our Global Partners (such as WWF, Gates, Save the Children etc…), clients from the public and social sectors and our corporate clients to solve the world’s most pressing issues and deliver sustainable impact.

We are seeking a strong candidate with initiative and aptitude in analytics and organizational operations to fill this position. Interest in Finance, Business Intelligence, People and social impact is integral for success in the role.

The position will report to the PA People Director based in Paris and the PA Finance Director based in Amsterdam.

  • Demonstrated aptitude through strong academic performance and/or prior temp work/intern experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications – knowledge of analytical tools and language such as Tableau, Alteryx, VBA, Python is a plus
  • Project management skills, rigor
  • Organized, detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • English fluency
  • Previous experience in HR, Finance and project management is considered an asset, but not a requirement

Business Management & Operations

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Support the People & Operations and the SI Investments & Business Intelligence Teams with tasks relating to our People & Business intelligence such as:
  • Assist with our SIPA affiliation review and update of BCG Practice Area Affiliation Database
  • Assist with updating and improving our People KPIs (growth, billability, deployment etc...)
  • Review project information on cases to identify the relevant impact areas.
  • Research and identify the sectors and typology for all new SI PA clients.
  • Improve the level of automation on the flow of data for People and Finance business intelligence.
  • Help service charge code creation and changes requests for SI Investments
  • Contribute to ad-hoc people & operations or finance related tasks and projects
  • for instance, related to our internal people programs, learning and development activities, global or regional events organization, internal process management etc.

YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will coordinate closely with Global SI Investments and Business Intelligence Senior Manager, the Global Practice Management Director, sector/topic Managers as well as the Business Services team, alongside Practice Area Coordinators both within the practice and across others.
