We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for the Weekend Day shift at the Elizabethtown Fulfillment Center. The Warehouse Supervisor is a member of the leadership team and is primarily responsible for the success and productivity of the Warehouse Leads and Warehouse Associate team members.

This is a salaried position covering the Weekend shift employees in the Picking/Packing Department, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4:30 a.m. - to 5:00 p.m. Supervisors are expected to arrive 30 minutes before shift starts to prepare for the shift and may need to be flexible at times outside of the employees’ shift to communicate with peers and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Train, monitor, motivate and coach warehouse associates, order processors and problem resolution team
  • Work with the Operations Manager to create a staffing plan to ensure processing goals are met based on forecasting and labor efficiency goals
  • Manage order processing and picking for a busy shipping department, overseeing all picking and picking areas, ensuring quality standards are met and orders are shipped within the appropriate timelines
  • Troubleshoot picking errors and implement retraining processes as needed to ensure efficient and accurate picking to support the outbound team
  • Ensure staff is well trained in best practices for picking and using outbound equipment. Ensure proper procedures are maintained for controlling hand-held scanners to include the sign-out process and maintenance checks
  • Monitor daily productivity performance for picking crew so that procedures are being observed in a safe work environment
  • Work to consistently improve processes and practices for “best practice” in procedures, equipment utilization, efficiency, cost reduction and employee satisfaction
  • Supervise that all warehouse equipment is properly maintained, additional equipment is procured in a timely manner and the shipping area is compliant with asset protection protocols
  • Inspect housekeeping for a well- organized and safe workplace
  • Create employee development plans to establish a growth path for high achieving associates
  • Maintain excellent communication within the packing and shipping teams through effective pre-shift meetings and one-on-one communication
  • Partner with Leadership team to ensure overall operations are running smoothly

Required Experience

  • Experience with WMS systems and the ability to learn proprietary software, proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work with the Safety Lead to help advance safety procedures, training documents and compliance. Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 is a plus
  • Experience using and maintaining warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, powered conveyors, pallet jacks and scanning devices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a proactive and self-motivated approach
  • A track record of driving process improvements, questioning the status quo, recommending best practices and effective problem solving

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, on a continual basis for shifts of 10 hours or longer per day
  • Ability to push carts and lift, push up to 50 pounds during a shift
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level frequently
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons
