Technical Sales Support Specialist

You will be working as Technical Sales Support Specialist at global grade 13/ 14 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Support Manager and will be responsible for supporting the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing of technical or commercial greenfield solution offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives
  • Interfacing towards customer or local divisions, ensuring timely and proactive communication. Bidding during the whole sales phase, from lead until winning the order
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs and proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries
  • Deliver high quality bid documentation meeting bid timelines and Bid process compliance
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs and proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries
  • Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers or channels or sales engineers with regard to ABB products or systems or applications and providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiation

Your background

  • BE or B Tech in Electrical and Electronics or Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation and Control
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in bidding / tendering for Automation (DCS / PLC/ Safety PLC/ Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries
  • Experience in handling MAC or Turnkey bids, experience from engineering and project execution
  • Knowledge of ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus, market requirements and standards within the industry
