Job Summary:

The Southwest Healthcare is seeking a Regional Manager of Pre Access Services, who will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership and direction for all areas related to the Pre Access Services (PAS) Departments at multiple facilities across the region to include Central Scheduling and Insurance Verification. This position will be onsite at our Inland Valley Hosptial. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Working closely with all on-site operations and Patient Access Directors and staff, within the region, to identify and implement state of the art practices.
  • Identify enhancement to technology solutions and processes.
  • Improve outcomes in productivity, quality, and key financial performance.
  • Drive the front end process to enhance hospital revenue, collection and performance, clean scheduling/registration data, and month end reporting.
  • Work with local and corporate leadership to ensure that our standard Patient Access model is implemented and sustained across all the facilities. 
  • Assist on-site leadership to produce the highest practice results contributing to obtaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, audit, oversee and monitor facility operations for all Pre Access functions including pre-registration, insurance verification, preauthorization, and registration accuracy - QA analysis to ensure daily operations to ensure timeliness, accuracy, compliance, and training.
  • Moderate business travel required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School diploma or equivelent required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of insurance verification/scheduling experience in Patient Access/Hospital Full Revenue Cycle experience required.
  • Leadership experience in related field required, acute care experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Professional Certifications (i.e. Certified Revenue Cycle Executive-Institutional, Certified Healthcare Access Manager) preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
  • Ability to operate other office equipment to coordinate work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Corporate clinical systems as required.
  • Strong leadership skills, change leadership, and a solid team orientation and executive presence
  • Customer orientation – builds trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Policies and Procedures – articulates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Project management – administers using tools and processes to identify and communicate project goals, schedules, responsibilities, progress, and performance. Assesses work activities and allocates resources appropriately.

Salary

Starting from $79,788.80 to $115,689.60 a year
