Job Responsibilities

  • Focal for monitoring and ensuring compliance with Data Privacy regulations within the region 1. Develop and Implement Compliance Strategy: · Design and implement a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with legal and regulatory requirements and supports the organization's objectives. · Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. · Establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance. · Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, and communicate relevant updates to the organization. 2. Monitor and Assess Compliance: · Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement. · Implement monitoring and reporting systems to ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures. · Analyse data and trends to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. 3. Provide Compliance Guidance and Training: · Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters and provide guidance to employees at all levels. · Develop and deliver compliance training programs to increase awareness and understanding of compliance requirements. · Collaborate with other departments to embed compliance into their processes and procedures. 4. Foster a Culture of Ethics and Integrity: · Promote a strong culture of ethics and integrity throughout the organization. · Encourage open communication channels for reporting potential compliance violations or concerns. · Investigate reported compliance incidents, initiate appropriate corrective actions, and ensure non-retaliation. 5. Engage with Regulatory Bodies and Stakeholders: · Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. · Represent the organization during regulatory inspections, audits, and investigations. · Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance-related queries and concerns.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in compliance is preferred. · Proven significant experience in a compliance or regulatory role, with a focus on developing and implementing compliance programs. · Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the organization. · Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions. · Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels. · Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. · Sound ethical judgment and integrity.

Experience

  • Experience as Compliance leader in a multinational company

Education Requirements

  • Degree in Law or Economics
