Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads cross-functional teams in identifying and researching tax planning opportunities. Assists in implementing structural and nonstructural tax planning strategies, which maximize savings on a defensible basis.
- Implements & executes strategic plans to minimize tax burden
- Monitors the judicial, legislative, regulatory developments and industry positions relevant to company business operations
- Provides business partners tax planning alternatives and benefits to assist in the decision making process
- Determines the potential benefit of using outside attorneys or other experts, and the selection of the appropriate experts for each case
- Recommends lobbying strategies on proposed tax legislation
- Leads team through tax accounting reporting process for estimates, budget and year-end accruals
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Up to 25% travel
- 18 years of age or older
