Job purpose

  • The (Sr) Product Manager is responsible for all marketing aspects of a specific product portfolio and associated Company image in Taiwan. The PM works seamlessly across all business functions to assimilate a complete market understanding and vision of the products under his/her responsibility so as to be able to build effective brand strategy that will deliver impact on optimize Sanofi’s market position and improve people’s quality of life.
  • Solid experience and knowledge on market dynamics, stakeholders management, competitive intelligent and strategic thinking are required for construction and execution of marketing plans. Brand plans and strategic initiatives are the responsibility of the PM for achieve financial targets [sales, margins, profit] and leading indicators [marketing goals, growth and share objectives].
  • As a core function of the business, the PM collaborates closely with the Sales team to set targets and define field activity in day to day operations, as well as with all the other functions to build a sustainable and profitable business over the long term.
  • The PM is also responsible for forecasting sales with accuracy and phasing; tracking and monitoring of monthly sales; A&P spend and accurate execution.

Key Accountabilities:

The PM is directly responsible for the assigned brand(s) and project(s).

  • Develop high impact marketing plan to optimize brand value and assure effective implementation of all tactical programs.
  • Develop innovative approaches to market expansion that include increasing vaccine coverage rate and numbers of patients on Sanofi’s products.
  • Regular engage with key opinion leaders, establish effective, professional relationship to deliver long term value proposition for Sanofi brands and company image.
  • Assure that formal sales training materials and programs are effective, updated and in line with positioning and key selling messages; in order to train medical representatives to a level of excellence in disease, product knowledge, competition, and selling skills.
  • Prepares annual sales forecasts and budgets, sets business targets for the product(s) and ensures that sales targets are achieved by supporting sales team.
  • Monitoring monthly A&P expenses and ensuring they are in line with F&A recordings.
  • Organize projects and activities and prioritizes efforts such that markets or customers with largest commercial potential receive appropriate attention.
  • Oversee agenda development, objective setting and overall design for large internal and external meetings.
  • Work with medical society/communities to plan and implement communications activities.
  • INTERACTION WITH STAKEHOLDERS
  • Internal - All team members of the respective Business Unit
  • External - Healthcare policy makers, business partners, healthcare professionals, marketing and service providers, distributors
  • Sanofi employee must understand of own roles and responsibilities in avoiding health risk (Health), preventing accidents (Safety) and environment protection (Environment). Involved in any such activities must comply with HSE policy.

About You

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Science, MBA is a distinct advantage

Experience & Knowledge

  • At least 5 years working experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • At least 2 years working experience in marketing
  • National KOLs management experience is a must
  • Vaccines or pediatric KOL connection is a plus

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capability and the formulation of brand plans from short to long term horizon
  • Demonstrated operational marketing skills collaborating with the sales team and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives
  • Demonstrated a solid experience on key opinion leaders engagement and management plan
  • Strong analytical skills and interpretation of data into actionable plans
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Excellent command of both English and Chinese
