Postdoctoral Research Associate I, Internal Medicine (College of Medicine - Phoenix)

  • Lead projects utilizing in vivo and in vitro systems:
  • Perform independent research experiments under the direction of senior researchers or principal investigators.
  • Conduct research using rodent disease models including animal procedures and surgeries upon trainings.
  • Design and perform tissue/cell cultures, and molecular biology related experiments to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying the disease conditions
  • Maintain rodent colonies and monitor/care animals during the study periods ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect experimental samples/data and record experimental data meticulously.
  • Contribute to grant proposals and publications:
  • Participate in the acquisition of research funding by initiating and writing grant proposals/supporting documents.
  • Participate or authors articles in peer-reviewed journals, books or chapter publications.
  • Participate or presents at meetings and conferences.
  • May co-author and may co-present results with principal investigators at meetings or conferences.
  • Contribute to training and laboratory management:
  • Provide training to students and junior researchers.
  • Maintain and service laboratory equipment.
  • Manage and assist with biosafety requirements.
  • Organize laboratory and implement procedures.
  • Additional laboratory duties related to research as assigned.
