The Non-Technical Trainer (Sales) supports the client to achieve its retail network competence goals by delivering training to Sales employees and distributors across Middle East.

Nature and Scope:

The Trainer delivers training to Sales employees from Middle East distributors. The job roles covered include Salesperson and Sales Manager. The training covers core curriculum, new and current product information and additional ad hoc topics. Training takes place either in the Training Center, at an external location (e.g. hotel, racetrack) or using a virtual-learning platform.

The Trainer is responsible for ensuring learners grasp the course information and can perform the tasks described in the course learning objectives. The Trainer uses training satisfaction survey feedback to adjust and improve his/her training performance.

Job Summary

Training

  • Deliver sales and product training in blended learning design
  • Deliver new model launch training in support of client launch plan
  • Maintain a continuous awareness of all requirements associated with assigned courses
  • Support course development in solution design
  • Use LMS to monitor and maintain the quality of the training provision
  • Attend customer sponsored “Train the Trainer” workshops
  • Continue professional development formally through client and GP Strategies initiatives, and 

informally through self-study and monitoring training satisfaction survey results

  • Manages tools and equipment being used in training, requesting maintenance and reporting breakages

and loss as required.

Quality / Health & Safety (H&S)

  • Is aware of Evacuation Plan and Emergency Contacts
  • Rigorously follows Health & Safety procedures
  • Highlights and explains Health & Safety procedures to learners and monitors learners’ safety behaviour throughout training
  • Identifies and takes immediate action to mitigate risks
  • Immediately reports accidents, near misses and hazards to Facility Management

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Arabic and English, both verbal and written, 3+ years’ experience as a Sales and/or Product trainer or minimum
  • 5 years Sales / Sales Management
  • working experience in a modern automotive dealership
  • Proficient in MS Office suite 
  • Excellent soft skills (e.g., communication, social, respect for different cultures etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
  • Media competences (VCT, handling modern media e.g., flipcharts, MIRO etc.)
  • High coaching competences (the ability to guide others in reflection and self-knowledge)
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the auto industry. Stays abreast of competitors’ products
  • Holds a valid drivers license. Training or certification on driving skills is an advantage.
  • Passion to deliver high quality delegated focused training which meet the local market.
  • Self-starter and driven and willingness to travel

Based full-time at the client Middle East Training Centre, Logistics Centre, Dubai South. Some days can be worked from home, based on agreement.

International travel will occasionally be required for either face-to-face training at BMW distributors throughout the Middle East region, or TTT events usually held in Germany.
