Our Automated Driving Product Division is looking for an experienced systems engineer to help lead the development of our next generation automotive camera platforms. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and bring their expertise and enthusiasm to a high-performing global engineering team. 

Major tasks & responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers to identify customer needs / requirements and develop system requirements, system definition, system architecture, etc. to meet those needs.
  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team to generate new camera design concepts that provide performance, cost, and quality improvements.
  • Manage the creation of prototype cameras including BOM generation, supplier management, component ordering, and fabrication / assembly.
  • Coordinate the generation of component and system test and validation plans, track their progress, and help resolve issues.
  • Ensure system requirements are recorded into DOORS, evaluate test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking.
  • Develop system FMEA, compliance matrix, fault tree analysis, and focus area matrix using appropriate tools.
  • Support vehicle level testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Manage platform development schedule and budget.
  • Support new camera business acquisition by handling technical discussions, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, software, or optics
  • 3+ years’ experience in systems / requirements engineering for automotive camera-based products
  • Fluent in English for both written and spoken communication
  • Able to drive a vehicle and in possession of a valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Image sensors / SoC’s, ISP technologies / settings, and FPD-Link / GMSL
  • Knowledge of camera hardware architecture and optics
  • Knowledge of vehicle network communication (CAN, CAN-FD, Autosar, Ethernet, etc.) and diagnostic protocols
  • Familiarity with automotive safety standards (FMVSS-111, ISO 26262, etc.)
  • Experience with automotive camera applications: rear-view, surround-view, driver monitoring, passenger monitoring, etc.
  • Strong capability to analyse and debug technical issues
  • Flexibility to attend morning and/or evening online meetings with global team members, outside of normal working hours (1-2 hours / week)
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally (2-4 weeks / year)
