As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be involved in automating and managing the company's technology infrastructure. Your expertise will enable us to deploy scalable, reliable infrastructure through code, reducing manual processes and ensuring consistency across environments.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to innovate and maintain our High-Performance Computing environment.

Role Expectations:

  • Administration of Workload Management software like GridEngine, PBS, Slurm, LSF;
  • Troubleshoot complex problems within Linux-based systems (SuSe, RedHat, etc.)
  • Automate the provisioning and configuration of large-scale infrastructure using platforms and tools like RedHat Ansible Tower, Chef, Puppet;
  • Install and maintain up-to-date: Operational System software, patching, firmware, drivers, etc.
  • Monitor Infrastructure health using existing solutions (Like; Nagios, Icinga, ManageNow, Grafana, or similar) and respond to hardware and software issues;
  • Support and maintain technology standards, processes, and policies related to on-prem/cloud Infrastructure in scope;
  • Contribute to international projects by providing consultancy regarding HPC infrastructure architectures (on-premises and cloud);
  • Suggest system changes in accordance with documented SOPs;
  • Produce and maintain appropriate documentation and diagrams describing hardware setups and overall inventory.

Capabilities and Expertise:

  • Strong working knowledge of Linux server operating systems;
  • German language at a professional level is a must.
  • Strong Scripting skills Bash shell/Python;
  • Experience with automated software configuration like Puppet, Ansible, or Chef.

Nice to have:

  • LPIC/RHCSA, Certifications are an advantage;
  • Knowledge and implementation experience of License Services for CAE Applications is a plus.
