About the Role:

In this opportunity as Lead Software Engineer, you will:

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the backend development team, including guiding architectural decisions, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices are followed.

Development: Lead by example in writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code for backend systems. This includes designing, implementing, and testing new features and improvements.

Suggest Improvements: Continuously suggest improvements to the team's development process, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and maintainability of the software.

Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance on technical issues, best practices, and career development.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including frontend developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to ensure seamless integration of backend systems with other components of the software.

Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues and challenges, leveraging your expertise and experience to find innovative solutions.

Documentation: Ensure that code, architecture, and processes are well-documented to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

Project Management: Assist in project planning, prioritization, and estimation, providing technical insights and recommendations to ensure successful project delivery.

Stay Updated: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in backend development, and incorporate them into the team's workflow when appropriate.

Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication within the team and with other stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

About You:

You are fit for the role of a Lead Software Engineer if your background includes:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

8 to 12 years of experience in software industry

In-depth knowledge in OOP’s

Strong experience in ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, C#, T-SQL/Stored Procedure, PostgreSQL

Hands on experience with building RESTful Web APIs, microservices

Hands-on experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure (Redis Cache, Elasticsearch & Application Insights) preferably AWS

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Hands on experience with event driven architecture.

Experience with SCM platforms like GIT, TFS, CI/CD.

Hands on experience with ORMs.

Experience in unit testing.

Experience working with JavaScript frameworks preferably Angular.

Deep understanding of software architecture principles and best practices along with trouble shooting skills

The candidate should also have a proven track record of leading teams.

Excellent understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.

Experience in client interaction/client management.
