YOU

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of industry leading software applications and services for the building industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Backend design and development for a software suite focusing on next generation design and management tools for component manufacturers in the wood structure building ecosystem. Development will primarily be in C# and SQL (85%).

Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development

lifecycle. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or relevant.
  • experience required.
  • Design, develop, and deploy database solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Implement data models, database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries to support application requirements.
  • Optimize database performance and efficiency, including indexing, query optimization, and data caching.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and design database solutions accordingly.
  • Develop backend services and APIs to facilitate data access, manipulation, and integration with front-end applications.
  • Monitor database health, performance metrics, and usage patterns to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality code and ensure application stability.
  • 6+ years developing with C# and T-SQL.
  • Comfortable writing, troubleshooting, and tuning SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience in utilizing Entity Framework.
  • Working knowledge of development tools such as Visual Studio/VS Code and SQL Management Studio, profiling tools.
  • Experience creating web services and applications, preferably ASP.NET/Core.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Cosmos DB, SQL, Elastic Database Pools and Database Tools to effectively and efficiently scale data.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Azure Redis Cache and Azure functions.
  • Familiarity with Windows scripting languages, such as PowerShell.
  • Strong ability to start and lead a project from inception to completion required.
  • Ability to break down high level requirements into technical specifications for implementation required.
  • Ability to recreate software environments to help with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with automated unit testing patterns and tools.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize new technologies.
  • Communicate well, both verbally and in writing, creating accurate documentation, sharing information and ideas with others.
  • Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

Travel

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Status & Location

This full-time, exempt position is located in Boulder, CO and open to fully remote.

Pay

$110400 - $149100 / year

  • Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
